Futuristic City Street

I had the privilege to be able to bring Koko Liem's environment to life in Unreal Engine, studying more efficient ways of approaching 3D environment art. My overall goal was learning more about trim sheets in environment art and I was able to utilize trim sheets nearly everywhere except for certain props where I wanted a bit more control in the overall texture. I used a mixture of trim sheets, procedural textures, decals, vertex painting, and mask overlays to achieve the look of this piece. I worked on this while maintaining a full time environment art job and, at times, freelance work, so it took about four months to complete between weekends and weeknights. This began in UE4 but transitioned to UE5 near the end.

I was able to keep a journal of my progress through polycount, located at this link: https://polycount.com/discussion/225440/wip-futuristic-city-street-ue4-environment

Many thanks to all the people on Polycount, Koko Liem for allowing me to use their concept, and especially to my mentor throughout this project, Lucas Annunziata, through the Mentor Coalition, who believed in me and helped push me to greater heights.
